Welcome to the Floranium Project!<\/span><\/h1>\n

Plants are living beings: they have a metabolism, adapt to their environment, develop defense mechanisms against threats, and respond to a wide range of external influences. Yet we cannot see these processes with the naked eye.<\/p>\n

Within the\u00a0FLORANIUM project<\/strong>, we develop instruments \u2013 called\u00a0Floranions<\/strong>\u00a0(a word derived from\u00a0\u201cFlora\u201d<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0\u201cIons\u201d<\/em>) \u2013 as well as methods to measure plant signals, visualize them, analyze them, and one day perhaps even truly understand them.<\/p>\n

Floranium Silent Friend Edition<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Of course, with the film\u2019s release there will also be a new Floranium \u2013 the\u00a0\u201cFLORANIUM SILENT FRIEND EDITION.\u201d<\/strong>
\nIt works just like the 1972 device shown in the movie, but now features\u00a0WiFi<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Bluetooth<\/strong>. This allows plant signals to be visualized conveniently via a web interface on smartphone, tablet, or PC.<\/p>\n

Silent Friend in cinemas soon<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The film\u00a0\u201cSILENT FRIEND\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0is coming to cinemas soon \u2013 and we are part of it with the\u00a0FLORANIUM project!<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the 1972 scenes, a geranium is connected to an original\u00a0Ur-Floranium<\/em>: the very first device ever built back in the 1970s \u2013 and it still works today! This means the plant reactions you see in the movie are absolutely real.<\/p>\n
